Gee’s Haulage operates a fleet in excess of 60 modern, fully equipped vehicles, using the latest technologies in green operating, thus reducing the impact of the business on the environment and on the community it serves. We use the latest webfleet telematics.
When the business was started by founder David Gee back in 1981, he bought his first 7.5 ton and went into haulage. Andrew Gee left school that same year and joined the business. In February 2010 we acquired the business and fleet of R W Edwards, a local Yorkshire family firm, thus expanding our capabilities and client base.
We operate a wide array of vehicles which range from 3.5 ton (GVW) (Gross vehicle weight), rigid 7.5 ton and a modern fleet of 18 and 26 ton rigid vehicles through to our large impressive fleet of modern 44 ton tractor units. The vast majority of our vehicles are fitted with tail lift facilities, pump trucks and also tail-lift equipment to facilitate any unattended or difficult access collections and deliveries. We also operate a large fleet of various trailers, from curtains sides to box and also temperature controlled refrigerated trailers giving Gee’s Haulage the ability to transport goods from ambient, chilled and frozen temperature ranges from 26 pallet loads down to smaller consignments, which are available on request.
We employ 65 drivers, all of whom are SAFED trained, (Safe and fuel efficient driving). And – because we are a bespoke haulage company – they are also trained in excellent customer service and are always willing to help where necessary at both collection and delivery.
Whatever the job, we have the vehicle that’s just right for it.
